How to set a left tab for modified block style letter

Happy Tuesday, y'all! Today we are going to do a quick demonstration on the correct way to set a left tab for modified block style letters. This type of letter is usually used for business letters, so I thought this might be a good refresh for us all. Remember that the heading, complimentary close, the signature and identification are on the right. On the left, you have the address, salutation, the body and enclosures. I have the steps listed below. As always, let me know if you have any questions and what you would like to see posted next week.

Once you have word open....

From the home tab on the ribbon, you want to click the arrow in the bottom right corner. This is going to open the paragraph dialog box.

Now that you have the paragraph dialog box open, look in the bottom left-hand corner and click the tabs button. This is going to open the tabs dialog box.

With the tabs dialog box open, you will enter 3.25 into the default tab stops text box. Make sure that the alignment is set to the left. Once you make sure everything is correct, press Ok. Below is a picture of what it should look like.
You now have set everything up for your modified block style letter. Below I have an example for you.

Question for y'all...Were you taught a different way to do it? Let me know in the comments!

Talk to y'all next week...
